An amazing day was spent at the House of Lords on 3 October with the IOEE SFEDI Celebrating Enterprise Awards, coinciding with MBL Academy celebrating it’s 4th year anniversary.
The energy and enthusiasm for enterprise across the country was definitely a positive one as the CEO for the IOEE Academy, Sarah Trouten, opened the ceremony addressing the audience with a message of having an entrepreneurial spirit and the necessary mindset to develop a passion for curiosity in the current challenging economic and political climate.
The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Lord John Bird, MBE, Founder of the ‘Big Issue’.
The day was rounded off with the final remarks from Ruth Lowbridge, MBE Chair of SFEDI Group who reminded us of the old proverb ‘what goes around, comes around' where being an entrepreneur can be a lonely road but it doesn't need to be if we build relationships and work in partnership with others to create a supporting environment to maximise potential of ourselves and others.
T.E.A.M = Together Everyone (really does) Achieve More.
