Stephen is our Lead Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for MBL Academy, and is a Chartered Quality Professional and Engineer, Management Accountant, Occupational Psychologist and qualified Business Coach with Business Counselling and Assessment Awards.
With a proven track record in Business Start-up and Innovation, Stephen works closely with Boards, Senior Executives, Managers, Employees and New Business Startups both internationally and in the UK.

Stephen founded a training and development consultancy, Quesst Ltd, in 1999 which was sold in 2012.
Prior to 2017, Stephen held the post of Entrepreneur in Residence at Birmingham University and then Innovation Birmingham where he was a Lead Coach for the Climate KIC Accelerator Programme for the West Midlands and Ireland.
Stephen supported businesses that reached the Climate-KIC European finals of the Innovation Festival Venture Competition in Valencia 2014 and Birmingham 2015, and also supported over 600 new and established businesses through several EU funded programmes including Speed and Bseen.
Having developed and facilitated training courses in a range of disciplines including Lean Business Startup, Entrepreneurship, Management, Finance, Governance and Statistics, Stephen favours the approach of 'gamifying' the training process and also providing Psychometric Support through Psychometric Profiles. Originally trained as an Aerospace Engineer with Rolls Royce, Stephen spent his formative years in Business working as a Quality Professional. Academic qualifications include a BSc in Organisational Management and Finance with Post Graduate Qualifications in Quality Management.
Stephen is a member of The British Psychological Society a Chartered member of the Institute of Quality Assurance and hold further qualifications in training and development.
